Day 1: Marangu Gate/ Mandara Hut
After breakfast, you will be transferred from Moshi to Marangu gate, passing through the Marangu village. Upon meeting with the guide and porters, you start the climb through fascinating rain forests till you reach Mandara Hut (2743m) ā 3 to 5 hrs. for overnight.

Day 2: Mandara Hut/ Horombo Hut
After breakfast, follow the ascending path through the alpine - meadow. The altitude begins to change and slow down your pace while enjoying the flora, the endemic giant lobelia which grows up to 3 m in height and the giant groundsel and the impressive view of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks on clear days. Dinner and overnight at Horombo Hut (3720m) - 5 to 7 hrs.

Day 3: Horombo Hut (3720m) - Acclimatization day
An extra day at Horombo for acclimatization. A short hike towards the Mawenzi hut, passing the Zebra Rocks on the way is strongly recommended to further assist with the process of acclimatization. Meals and overnight at Horombo hut.

Day 4: Horombo Hut/ Kibo Hut
After breakfast, you resume climb gradually; the landscape becomes rugged and rocky. Climb to Kibo Hut (4750 m) for dinner and overnight (5 to 6 hrs).

Day 5: Kibo Hut to Summit to Horombo Hut
You wake up before midnight and after some tea and biscuits, you begin a steep climb over a rocky path, then you zig-zag to rim of the main crater, Gillmanās 5,685 m. We will rest there for few minutes to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi. From Gillman's Point you will encounter snow all the way up to Uhuru peak (5895m), the highest point in Africa -total exhilaration and satisfaction. Weather conditions on the summit will determine how long you will be able to spend, taking photographs, before descending back to Kibo hut for some refreshment and continue further down to Horombo Hut (3,720 m) for dinner and overnight ā 12 ā 15 hrs.

Day 6: Horombo Hut / Marangu Gate
After breakfast, you continue your descent passing the Mandara hut down to the Marangu gate, where successful climbers will receive their summit certificates. From here you will be transferred to your hotel in Moshi (4 ā 6 hrs).
