DTU 7 : 8 Days | River Nile Trail - Ngamba Chimp Island, White Water Rafting, Murchison Falls National Park Day 1:
Meet and Greet at the airport and travel to the Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel for a Safari briefing. In the afternoon, take a Nature walk in the Botanical Gardens along the shores of the Lake Victoria “The second Largest Inland Lake in the World”. Return to either the Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel - Top Class, Entebbe Botanical Beach Hotel - Mid Class, Sophies Motel - Budget. Day 2:
Early morning assemble at the Lake Victoria shore for a briefing before taking a speedboat to the Jane Good all Chimp Island of Ngamba. Picnic lunches will be provided on the Island after Chimp viewing. Later, return to Entebbe and proceed to Kampala for an evening City tour of Kampala. This Includes touring the Kasubi Royal Tombs, Namugongo Christian Martrys Shrine, Uganda Museum and the Hindu Temple among others. Night stay at either Kampala Sheraton Hotel - Top Class, Hotel Africana - Mid Class, Or RedChilli Hideaway. Day 3:
After breakfast, transfer to Jinja the Source of the Nile for a Full day White Water Rafting trip. This activity involves paddling through the big Five White Water Rapids up stream the River Nile. (The River Nile offers one of the Best Rafting experiences in the World!!!) After a picnic lunch and a cool drink at the end of the trip, return to Kampala for dinner and night either at Kampala Sheraton Hotel - Top Class, Hotel Africana - Mid Class, Or RedChilli Hideaway. Day 5:
Breakfast early and travel to Murchison Falls Conservation Area. After lunch at Sambiya, arrive at the Top of the Falls for an Informative Lectures. Explore this region where early explorer Hemmingway’s aircraft crashed. The Nile is compressed into a 7-meter crevice in the wall of the Rift valley in a series of White water cascades that fall 45 meters below. Witness the spectacle the birds of prey feeding on the Fruit Bats that bust out of the Rocks at sunset before departing for Sambiya River Lodge - Mid Class or Bandas - Budget for dinner and overnight. Day 6:
Morning travel to Paraa and cross the Nile. A Morning Game drive and Game walk with Game Ranger in hope of finding Elephant, Uganda Kob, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Oribi, Rothschild Giraffe, Lion, Leopard and birdlife among them Secretary bird and Kori Bustard. After lunch at the Paraa Safari Lodge, take a 3 hour Launch Cruise on the Nile where Wildlife on the Banks includes the Huge Nile Crocodiles and Schools of Hippo. If fortunate, you may spot the rare Shoebilled Stork before returning to either Inns on the Nile Camp - Top Class Paraa Safari Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge - Mid Class or Paraa Rest Camp - Budget. Day 7:
Breakfast early and travel to the Budongo Forest for a fairly easy Forest Walk in search of the Wild but habituated Chimpanzees. on the walk you will most likely spot Grey Cheeked Mangabey Monkey, Black and White Colubus, Red-tailed Monkey and the Olive Baboons, after lunch in Masindi, head for Kampala for overnight at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel - Top Class, Hotel Africana - Mid Class, Or RedChilli Hideaway. Day 8:
Morning is spent shopping before traveling to the airport for your out bound flight |
