DTL 7 | 10 Days Wildlife Explorer

A game safari like no other. This safari will take you to the slopes of Mt Kenya to experience the tree hotel before taking you to the savannah grassland of Samburu game reserve dotted with the Acacia trees. You will then enjoy Mt Kenya when you enter the famous Mt Kenya Safari Club. From here you watch the sleeping mountain as you enjoy your tea from the verandas. Afterwards we will take you through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Baringo and Lake Nakuru to enjoy the birdlife and the wildlife. And to crown your safari we drive down to the Maasai Mara the “Hollywood “of wild animals. Seat back and enjoy as our experienced local drivers take you on game viewing adventure in the real wild! Day 1 - Nairobi/Tree Hotel
Pick up from your hotel and drive towards Mt Kenya through the rich agricultural land inhabited by the Kikuyu the largest tribe in Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch and the afternoon transfer to the Tree Hotel built deep in the Aberdares forest for a rare game watching overlooking floodlit waterholes frequented by wildlife. Dinner and overnight at a Tree hotel.

Day 2 - Tree/Hotel/Samburu
Depart Abredares after breakfast Continue north across the equator to a different scenery and wildlife in Northern Frontier into Samburu National Park. Lunch then a gamedrive. Dinner and overnight in a lodge

Day 3 – Samburu
Full day to enjoy the different scenery and wildlife including Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe. Leopard, lion and onyx. Dinner and overnight in a lodge.

Day 4- Samburu/Mt Kenya Safari club
After an early breakfast depart Samburu national park and drive to Mt Kenya Safari Club for lunch. Afternoon proceed to Sweetwaters game sanctuary. Here you have a chance of visiting chimpanzee sanctuary and also meet Morani the “pet” rhinoceros. Dinner and overnight at Mt Kenya safari Club or Sweetwaters Tented Camp.

Day 5 Mt Kenya Safari club/lake Baringo
Morning drive via Nyahururu Falls down to Lake Bogoria. Later drive to the beautiful lake Baringo for an evening bird walk. Dinner and overnight at Lake Baringo Club.

Day 6 - Baringo/Lake Nakuru
Morning boat ride on the lake. Lunch, then drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru. Evening gamedrive in the home of millions of flamingoes and over 400 species of other birds. Dinner and overnight in a lodge.

Day 7 - Nakuru/Maasai Mara
Morning drive across the Rift Valley down to the Maasai Mara. Lunch and later an afternoon gamedrive. Dinner and overnight at a lodge

Day 8/9 - Maasai Mara
Two full days experiencing the Mara magic in the Kenya’s premier reserve that is an extension of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Mara reserve is the most popular in Kenya and it owes this to the astounding concentration of game within the park all the year round with the Wildebeest migration mainly in July and August. A visit to the Maasai village can be arranged at an extra cost for those who are interested. Overnight as above.

Day 10 - Maasai Mara/Nairobi
Early morning game drive then return to Nairobi.
