DTC 6 | 10 Days Amboseli/Mt Kenya/Lake Nakuru/Lake Naivasha/Maasai Mara An incredible safari that takes you to the land of the Maasai right at the foot of the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro before taking you to the highest peak in Kenya , Mt Kenya. You then travel to Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha to enjoy the bird life and ultimately to the world famous Maasai Mara . Day 1 - Amboseli
Depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park with a picnic lunch enroute. Evening game drive followed by dinner and overnight at a campsite. Day 2 - Amboseli
Early morning game drive at 6.30 a.m. where you view game with the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background, followed by breakfast. After breakfast visit to the Maasai village followed by lunch. After lunch drive to a lodge where you can have a cold beer or a swim. Evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at a campsite. Day 3 - Mt. Kenya
Early morning breakfast followed by departure for Mt Kenya with a picnic lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at Mt Rock Hotel campsite. Day 4 - Mt. Kenya
Full day at Mt Kenya region with a visit to the sweet waters chimps' sanctuary. This chimp sanctuary is the only one of its kind in Kenya. Visitors can enjoy the unique opportunity of observing the chimps by boat on the Ewaso Nyiro. The riverine forest and the grassland that make up the sanctuary are home to 26-orphaned chimpanzees varying in age from 2-15years. Also found at Sweet waters is Morani - the tame black rhino born in 1974 who was brought here after poachers killed his mother. Dinner and overnight at Mt Rock Hotel campsite. Day 5 - L. Nakuru
Depart Mt Kenya after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru with a picnic lunch enroute. After lunch, we proceed to Lake Nakuru a shallow soda lake, which has been described as "an ornithologist’s paradise and one of the world's most magnificent sights". Here one has an opportunity to see up to two million flamingos besides thousands of other birds if lucky. Lake Nakuru also has rhino sanctuary and also harbors lions, warthogs, waterbucks, buffaloes, hippo and many other animals. Dinner and overnight campsite. Day 6 - L. Naivasha
Depart Nakuru after breakfast and drive to Lake Naivasha. Picnic lunch at Hell's Gate National Park. Afternoon spend exploring the park on foot or you can hire a bike and cycle around. After being in a vehicle for 5 days a walk at hell's gate national park is extremely refreshing. Evening sundowner boat ride at Lake Naivasha. Dinner and overnight camping. Day 7 - Maasai Mara
Depart Lake Naivasha for Maasai Mara with a picnic lunch enroute to arrive in the late afternoon. Evening game drive. Dinner and overnight camping. Day 8 - Maasai Mara
Full day in the Mara to experience the Mara magic! In the most popular reserve in Kenya famed for its astounding concentration of game with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania occurring mainly in July and August. From the base camp, we explore the region, packed with the elephant, zebra, rhino and all kinds of game throughout the year. Being at Maasai Mara is as if you found yourself in “The New York of the natural world” according to some authorities. Indeed you have the best opportunity of seeing all the big five. Dinner and overnight camping. Day 9 - Maasai Mara
Full day at Maasai. On this day you have a choice of taking a balloon ride over the game filled plains or have a guided walk in restricted areas or visit the Maasai village at an extra cost as well as more game viewing. The choice is yours. Dinner and overnight camping. Day 10 - Nairobi
After breakfast leave at leisure stopping at Narok town to buy souvenirs or just for a cup of tea. Picnic lunch enroute arriving in Nairobi late afternoon. Drop off at your hotel. End of safari.
